INDOCHINA Itinerary

Once we envisioned traveling beyond and farther away from the beautiful islands where we grew up in the Philippines. We aimed for it and we thought that the country of Cambodia is an interesting place to visit. With me are my childhood friends whom I share the same longing and dream.

BOOK YOUR TICKET c",)

We all knew we had to make the 1st move for all our travel plans and all we need most importantly is a ticket on hand.

Initially, our year-end trip was in fulfillment of a goal that is to travel together as we reached the age of 30. Along with that is the ambitious plan of joining one of Cambodia's big event, the Angkor Wat Marathon which would give satisfaction to our running aspirations.

By the month of June, we booked via Cebu Pacific Air for a one-way ticket going to Vietnam with a travel date set by December of 2014.

Along the way, a lot of changes happened with my best friend who has gotten pregnant months before our departure. So by October we finally came up with a big decision for an Indochina trip, to cross the borders, travel to 3 countries, and let go of the Cambodia marathon.

From all these, we came up with Indochina Escapade

Coming from Cebu we flew to Manila, rode the midnight plane going to Vietnam, did border crossing going to Cambodia, travel overland to Thailand, then exited from Bangkok going home to the Philippines.

HOW DID WE DO IT?
We waited for almost 6 months for this one big trip. It was truly a big challenge for us, being part of the workforce in the Philippines earning an average income. But that fact didn't hinder our team, with that longing and passion to travel again.

Personally, it was more of a mindset, and knowing what really are my priorities, most importantly it served its main purpose as an inspiration to pursue my goals. Then everything follows with a travel goal in mind, that enables me to be more patient with my job, keeping track of my day to day expenses, and saving enough for my trip.

HOW MUCH DID WE SPEND Backpacking INDOCHINA for 11 DAYS?

Find out how we spent
PHP 15,000.00 for 3 countries.
