SUNRISE at ANGKOR WAT

A pleasant doze of sleep and excitement made us all wake up in high spirits and good vibes anticipating to witness that sunrise view.

Our 2nd Day in Cambodia is meant for Temple Tour and the Sunrise Viewing!

After a long travel from Saigon, we have rested whole day in our guesthouse to prepare ourselves for the main highlight of our

Cambodia

trip, 2^nd day in Siem Reap.

We were advised by our assigned driver that we should be ready to go by 5:00AM as we will be witnessing the Angkor Wat Sunrise - a pre opening to our temple tour.

It actually rained during dawn and we thought that Mr. Sunshine may not possibly show up. But when we got out of our guesthouse we have been welcomed by the fresh breeze of air in a clear night sky. It was rejuvenating and we are hopeful for that sunrise experience.

Our driver was all prepared and has hurriedly advised us to get in the car so we could proceed right away to our destination and to avoid queuing.

We stopped by at the Archeological Park Entrance to buy our Temple Pass good for 1 day.

Good thing it wasn't that crowded and we get to purchase tickets quickly with no hassle.

The driver brought us to the main entrance of the Angkor Wat Temple who will be waiting for us on the same location after this first activity.

When we arrived, it was still dark so we had to use our mobiles to serve as our light going inside the temple. We had to be careful walking along the stony pathway since rain water have accumulated on some path bumps and cracks.

We made our way straight to the pond area where the crowds of tourists have gotten settled all anxious for that moment. Some are still restless finding that perfect spot.

It was in this waiting time that we are imagining of a dramatic picture more than the thrilling moment, the best Sunrise view at Angkor Wat temple.

The atmosphere inside has been the most relaxing feel, missing the heat of the sun and surrounded by apprehensive and patient spectators who shares the same purpose with us.
