Singapore National Day 2013

Singapore observes devotedly their yearly awaited National Day Celebration. On my initial days strolling the city, which was the 3rd week of July, I have already noticed the red and white flag s wavering in most buildings, HDBs, and establishments. Along the roads, you will be seeing tarpaulins and advertisements reminding everyone of an upcoming big event happening by August.

Singapore National Day is a festivity to commemorate the country’s independence after long years of Colonization

For the year 2013, this Singapore is turning 48 years of becoming one of the most victorious nations after acquiring its freedom.

Magnificent nightly activities have lined up days before that and on the day of the festivity the annual parade is what everyone anticipates.

Few days before the Sunday Event my sister has toured me around and we have leisurely walked around the Central area where most Tourists would visit.

We can observe that everyone seems to be very busy with the preparation for SND 2013.

Since we won’t be able to witness the parade we have checked on some places where major programs will be held.

Students seem to be very involved with the preparation. In Marina Bay, everyone has installed and set – up the stage, lights, and sound.

I have also seen young men of Singapore under the National, Service gathered for final instructions on the events order and security.

And the Main Central Area has become colorful and lively ever.
