Bangkok Thailand Day Tour Guide

 Revisiting the Land of Smiles
Bangkok Thailand

The familiar smell once you get on the road, the scent of the incense as you enter and visit the temples, the feast of oriental serving on the streets, a colorful site with local Thai people in their genuine smiles had welcomed me back in this magical country. I expressed it that way to describe such a distinct nation full of stories, rich culture, strong faith in its religion, and respect for their leaders.

I have revisited the country since it was a gateway for us to get to Vientiane Laos. So before we headed back to the Philippines we made sure to enjoy our remaining days of vacation in this beautiful city.

Bangkok had gotten busier, triple the crowd when I was here last time.

The month of August has been a high peak season in the country where travelers from different parts of the world enjoy the well known and anticipated full moon party in Thailand. Chao Praya river was also fully packed every trip, our hostel was more than busy to accommodate the guest, and the streets say it all - full of excited travelers to navigate the beauty of this urban hub.

When we completed our 11 Day Indochina Backpacking last year December 2014 in Bangkok, we arrived a day after the King's birthday. This time I came back a day after the Queens Birthday.

These are special occasions celebrated by the Local Thai community and as far as the boundary in Nong Khai, pictures are displayed with candles and flowers being offered to honor the queen. The city can get more crowded with big events held in main locations.

Now for this 2nd visit unluckily I had gotten sick upon arrival back in Bangkok City. After enduring our whole day walking tour under the very heated weather condition in Laos my body gave up and I needed my lemons!

Having that high fever while overboard the overnight train back to Thailand was a crucial reminder for me to be utterly mindful and careful next time.

With this, I had to let go of some planned activities as I had requested to overdose myself with sleep and to take enough rest.

Hey, I’m still not over you Thailand.

This definitely calls again for another comeback!

6| Chinatown Photowalk
One perfect venue for your snapshots. These are rare moments that I can walk freely without anything to think of most specifically safety.

The best part is, people just give you all that welcoming greetings, non-judging, grateful to see tourist around.

I have spent almost 2 hrs roaming along Yaowarat road all by myself, taking my time to enjoy the colorful scenes in the city and capturing photographs to explore with my Nikon camera. The experience was too much pleasing to my eyes.

A variety of Food options, souvenir items, with local Thai delicacies can be found here.

We left 2 days before the bombing incident in Erawan Shrine.

It was nearly close and I can't imagine how chaotic the scene can be knowing that there were a lot of tourist during that week.

But sincerely I hope the country recovers the soonest from this unexpected blasting incident.

Being back in Thailand was another memorable itinerary for me to reminisce amidst the previous happening and I know this will not be my last visit because I am determined to be back soon for a new adventure.
