Vietnam Huong Trinh Hotel



Choosing an accommodation for Vietnam has been the last booking I have completed, organizing our Indochina trip. Maybe because there were too many options, rates and offers were varied and I wanted to choose the right location. Good thing Trip Advisor has been a big help in finding the right choice, of course depending on what you consider a necessity in your travel for a comfortable stay.

WHERE WE STAYED
Huong Trinh Hotel 

We have finalized our reservation c/o TRIP ADVISOR recommendation and ranking. This hotel is top ranked for Saigon Accommodation under the Bed and Breakfast category, and you won't go wrong as you are being treated like a family. "Trinh" the manager was very welcoming since we arrived. 

Vietnam is the first country we visited and we stayed here for 3 days and 2 nights. Since we arrived early morning in Ho Chi Min on a Sunday, we just left our bags in the hotel and waited for an early chance of checking in as advised when we were making our reservation.


WHERE ARE THEY LOCATED 
Complete Address is 98F/13 Le Lai St., Dist.1, Ho Chi Minh City,  Vietnam. It is not exactly on the road side, but just a few steps away maybe the 3rd house along the Le Lai street fronting the park. Look for the flashing sign with hotel’s name "Huong Trinh" on Le Lai Street. We were lucky enough to have hired a private car with the owner who was very talky and friendly to send us here in less than 20minutes.

HOW TO BOOK/RESERVE
We got their email address from their site and did all the reservation via email communication with the owner. It's very convenient since they don't require an upfront payment instead it can be completed upon your check-out. Both cash and CC payments are accepted. It was no hassle to our group and we saved available cash in VNM dong.

GOOD POINTS
  • Friendly Staff – Even though language barrier is apparent, the staff were always smiling to greet us everyday when we go down in the receiving area before we head on outdoors.
  • Daily Breakfast – You get to be served on your own choice from their listing of free Vietnamese rice meals every morning.
  • Excellent customer service – The manager herself “trinh” has been very accomdating since the day we arrived. They have answered all our queries, and has also resolved our request.
  • Good Location – for a well rested sleep
  • Accessibility – especially for backpackers traveling to Cambodia or vice versa, since it’s just few meters away from the backpackers’ area, it is near Behn Than Market and The Notre Dame Cathedral. It will be the best location if you are catching up for the weekend night market. It will cost you around $14 US dollars for a cab ride getting here coming from the airport.
  • Affordable Price – The rate we paid is all worth it for what we expect to happen during our stay at $36 US dollars/night (Php 1,608.00.) good for 4 pax and just pay additional amount for an extra bed.
