Aloguinsan Bojo River and Trail Run

The delight of running and traveling all in one trip were our motivation for this weekend journey. This we have aimed to achieve joining our 1st Trail Run away from the city a fun run event organized by the municipality of Aloguinsan.

Travelling with me  for this RUN and RIVER Trailing wekekend is my colleague Yenyen who happens to be my frequent buddy for most of my weekend break out.

RUNNING TRAILS
This event was open to different category and includes 10K and 21K distances attracting runners and marathoners based in Cebu City

As an amateur runner we always have reservations as to the right timing to level up the distance. We both shared that fear, so we decided to opt for the shortest route  and registered in advanced for the Trail run under the 5K category given that we haven’t had much preparation

On the other side we get to enjoy the extra perks of the registration which is a free Tour in the famous Aloguinsan Bojo river. Least expected, never we knew it will be such a worth it and absolutely fun packed weekend experience.

This is one hidden treasure in the east side of Cebu and I am proud to have visited it earlier than expected.

The tourism department has been making continuos improvement with its current set - up and locals are being hired and trained to serve as tourist guide for the visitors. A commendable effort for the municipality.

RIVER TRAILING
The town of Aloguinsan situates in the eastern part of Cebu. Itis considered to be a 1st class municipality in the province. It can be reached thru public buses, or van for hires coming from the Cebu South Terminal.

Some alternatively would also opt to catch a 2nd ride via Toledo City since Aloguinsan has a limited option as to PUVs. They have buses that travels daily but with the last trip scheduled at 5pm in which we are unaware. Luckily we anticipated a long travel and left the city early morning day before the race.

For others with the pleasure of driving, it can also be reached safely thru private cars since all roads are passable as we travelled along commuting. Just make sure to activate your GPS to guide you along the way.

These were set up for the media people using Old style mosquito nets.
